The seafront and the streets behind it, mostly blocks of flats. The town hall counts half of all Albir’s registered holiday lets in these streets.
To find you: If the block has a name, give it with the number. Say which entrance, and whether the street door is open.

Racó de l’Albir

The residential area by the north end of the beach, towards the Serra Gelada, which the planning documents call Albir I.
To find you: Name the street and the nearest crossing; a pin on WhatsApp from the gate is quicker still.

Detached and semi-detached houses on the higher ground, described by the town hall as residential and lived in all year by many owners.
To find you: Streets here look alike after dark. Tell us the house name or number on the gate, and switch on an outside light if you can.

The asphalt path to the Faro de l’Albir is closed to traffic. Houses near its start are reached by car; the path itself only on foot.
To find you: If you are out on the path, walk back to the information point at Camí Vell del Far and ring from there.

What tends to be waiting at an Albir door
A street door before the flat door
In the blocks of the beach strip, the street door, the stairwell and then the flat door each have their own lock. A flat door that has only been pulled shut, not locked, usually opens through the latch or the cylinder, without damage.
Sliding doors that face the sea
The Albir plain runs right down to the beach, and terraces and sliding doors face it. Aluminium sliders and multipoint gearboxes that stop catching have a page of their own, and a guide to what you can check first.
Homes let to visitors
The town hall counted 1,219 registered tourist dwellings in the municipality in 2025, up from 441 in 2012, and found more than nine in ten of them in the Albir area, half of those in the streets of the beach strip. Owners and agencies will find the locksmith service for holiday lets useful, and a spring check for the key box at the door.
Houses with a gate first
In the upper Albir, a garden gate and often a second lock stand before the front door. Say on the phone which one is locked: they are different jobs.
Getting about
Things about l’Albir that change a visit
- The lighthouse path is closed to cars. The asphalt road to the Faro de l’Albir, about five kilometres there and back from the information point on Camí Vell del Far, is for walkers only. Back from it without your keys? Read what to check before you ring.
- Albir has its own TRAM stop. Line 9 stops at L’Albir and at L’Alfàs del Pi on its way between Benidorm and Dénia. If your keys went home with someone on the tram, it is worth a phone call before a locksmith.
- July and August fill the seafront. The film festival in early July puts its stars on the Passeig de les Estrelles, and the Albir fiestas run from mid-August to the 24th. If your street is taken over, give the nearest corner a car can reach.

What people in Albir ask first
I am in a block on the seafront and the street door is shut as well. Can you still get in?
Usually a neighbour or the building’s intercom lets the locksmith into the stairwell. If nobody answers, say so on the phone: the street door is then part of the job, and you are told before anything is touched.
Do you come to Albir from l’Alfàs or from somewhere further away?
The business works from l’Alfàs del Pi, which Albir is part of. How long the drive takes depends on where the van is when you ring, and you are told honestly before anyone sets off.
Our flat is let to visitors. Should the guest ring you, or should we?
Either. A guest shut out at the door can ring directly; the owner or the agency is asked to confirm by phone or message before the door is opened, and the invoice goes to whoever you say.
The house is up the hill and the street has no name on the corner. How will you find it?
Send a pin on WhatsApp from the gate, and say the house name or the number painted on it. At night, an outside light switched on saves more time than any description.
